Chef's Table

The Chef’s Table at Tallow is a fully immersive and unique dining experience; it is the definition of table-side cooking.

Located up a flight of stairs in a private dining room - seating only eight guests a night - enjoy a monthly changing, seven-course tasting menu, cooked entirely at the table. Watch on while Chef prepares your menu for the evening, talks through ingredients, techniques and all things food. You may even come away with a few tips!

This is a shared table of eight, dining dinner-party style, serving tasting menu only with a sit down time of 7.30pm.

Cost

Tasting menu is £120 per head with additional wine flight available.

Chef’s Table is Bookable Online for Friday and Saturday evenings: book from one seat through to eight.

Group Bookings

Chef's Table is also available to groups of eight any other days, Tuesday - Thursday. Please Email Us to check availability.

Notes

As per our main diary, bookings for the chef's table are open 90 days in advance.

We do not offer a vegetarian tasting menu and cannot cater for all allergies, intolerances or dislikes.

The chef’s table experience was fantastic from start to finish. Sam, the chef, was personable and shared plenty of knowledge as he prepared and cooked our food in front of us. The tasting menu was outstanding, with every course beautifully presented, layered in flavour and balanced perfectly. The waiting staff were knowledgable about the drink options and were warm throughout, offering suggestions and tasters to compliment dishes and surprise us. The whole evening was a pleasure. Tallow is a local gem.

This was the second Chef's Table for my husband and I. We took our daughter and her husband, as a thank you to them for their support last year. We had the very best evening. The menu was a wonderful combination of tastes and textures and every dish was sensational. We thank Sam, the chef on the night and Lilly, the hostess. They were both professional, knowledgeable and friendly in exactly the right way. This was one of our best nights ever. Our son in law and daughter also absolutely loved the evening as well. My friend and I received a warm welcome on arrival and went upstairs to dine at the Chef's table. Words can't describe how much I enjoyed the experience - the food was stunning and explained so well by our chef for the evening, shout out to Sam who signed a menu for me! He patiently answered all our questions and engaged with everyone at the table. Our second visit, this time we had the tasting menu. All the dishes were imaginative, beautifully presented and delicious. The wine pairing was fabulous and generous for the price. The service was attentive and extremely knowledgeable.

A wonderful Tasting Menu meal with perfect wine pairings to celebrate my birthday. Staff were all bright, cheerful and really knew their stuff without any pretensions. The small dining room is splendidly welcoming through the heavy front door curtains and the wood burner lends a great atmosphere. Presentation is fabulous - Michelin standard of course - and the dedicated almost book mark sized souvenir tasting menu a very stylish touch with its black wax seal.
