On this page, we keep an up-to-date list of questions that our customers frequently ask. If you have any queries please scan the list below as it may be the quickest way to get answers!

There’s no phone number, how do we get in touch?
It's correct you cannot contact the restaurant by phone; however our emails are constantly monitored and responded to promptly. If you’d like to book for a table of four or less, this is done via our diary, accessed via the Reservations Page. The diary is live and up to date and will only show timeslots that are still available to book. You can also add yourself to our standby list via the same tab.

What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours notice for all changes to a booking, including cancellation or a change of numbers. Without this notice you will be charged £40 per person.

Do you offer vegan or vegetarian options?
We DO NOT offer vegan options. We do however have one vegetarian starter and one main course on offer always. We DO NOT offer a vegetarian tasting menu.

Can you cater for allergies or intolerances?
We do not prepare off-menu dishes. You're welcome to get in contact via email to discuss if the current menu suits your needs.

Do we need to pre-order the tasting menu?
Pre-ordering is not required - when you arrive, you’ll be given the choice of either menu. However everyone at your table will need to dine from the same menu. No substitutions or changes can be made to the tasting menu.

Accessibility?
We have two stairs with a handrail to enter the building from the street. Our bathroom is located upstairs with access via a winding staircase with a handrail. The Chef's Table is located up a flight of stairs.

Where can I park?
We do not have dedicated parking at Tallow. However on-street parking is available. Extra space can be found by St Peter's church on the other side of the green, and there is a council car park off Pennington Road which is only a three minute walk to the restaurant.

Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code, please come as you are.

Can I bring my own wine?
You’re welcome to bring your own wine - no beer, spirits or minerals please. Our corkage charge is £30 per 75cl bottle.

Can I bring my dog?
Due to the intimate size of Tallow, and the comfort of all guests, we DO NOT allow dogs.

Do you sell gift vouchers?
Vouchers are available to purchase from our website. These can be emailed, printed off, or a physical voucher sent to the recipient. As well as monetary vouchers, you can also purchase Tallow Experiences.

Can I bring my children?
Children are certainly welcome at Tallow. Please be aware however, we do not have a children’s menu, we are unable to provide highchairs because of the limited space in the dining room and for this reason we can not accommodate prams or pushchairs of any description. If you have an infant that can still fit in a car seat capsule, we may be able to offer you an extra chair at the table if available to rest the carrier on: please make a note of this on your booking.
